Position Overview
The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the upkeep of the school premises. The role includes managing housekeeping staff, ensuring a clean, hygienic, and orderly environment, and coordinating with administration and maintenance teams to support the well-being of students and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervision & Operations

  • Supervise daily housekeeping operations and assign duties to staff.
  • Ensure cleanliness and sanitation in classrooms, offices, washrooms, corridors, and outdoor areas.
  • Conduct routine inspections to monitor standards.
  • Manage cleaning schedules, checklists, and use of equipment and materials.
  • Report repair needs (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, etc.) to the Admin Department.

Staff Management

  • Monitor staff attendance, punctuality, and performance.
  • Conduct daily briefings and allocate tasks.
  • Ensure compliance with safety guidelines, uniforms, and ID usage.
  • Coordinate with Administration for staff training, leaves, and performance reviews.

Procurement & Inventory

  • Maintain records of cleaning materials, tools, and consumables.
  • Raise requisitions for housekeeping supplies as per need and budget.
  • Ensure proper utilisation and prevent wastage of materials.

Compliance & Safety

  • Maintain hygiene and cleanliness in compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Ensure proper waste segregation and disposal.
  • Support in event setups, emergency cleaning, and special maintenance tasks.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Graduate / 12th Pass with minimum 5 years of supervisory experience in housekeeping (preferably in hospitality or schools)
  • Strong organisational and leadership skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Knowledge of cleaning equipment, materials, and safety standards.
  • Basic language skills in English.
