Role Overview:

We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Primary Years Class Teacher to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering a stimulating and inclusive curriculum that encourages intellectual curiosity, critical thinking, and creativity. The Primary Years Class Teacher will play an integral role in guiding students through their educational journey, ensuring a well-rounded and enriching experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging, interdisciplinary lessons that align with our holistic, inquiry-based curriculum.
• Foster a positive classroom environment that supports the intellectual, social, emotional, and physical development of each student.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs and learning styles of students, ensuring all can achieve their full potential.
• Collaborate with colleagues to integrate core subjects, such as Languages, Mathematics, Social Studies, and Science, into a cohesive learning experience.
• Use a variety of assessment strategies, including formative and summative assessments, to monitor student progress and inform instruction.
• Build strong relationships with students, parents, and the school community, maintaining open communication and fostering a collaborative learning environment.
• Participate in extracurricular activities, professional development, and school events to contribute to the vibrant community life of King’s College UK, Gurugram.

Qualifications:

• Master’s Degree in related subject
• Bachelor’s degree/Diploma in Education
• Teaching certification/license relevant to Primary Years education.

• Candidates should either be qualified IB PYP teachers or willing to undertake the PYP IB Teacher Training.

• Experience in teaching primary school students, preferably in an international or diverse setting.
• Strong understanding of student-centred and inquiry-based learning methodologies.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills.
• A passion for fostering intellectual growth and a commitment to holistic education.
