Position: Middle Years Individual & Societies (I&S) Teacher (2026 session)

Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and passionate IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) Individual & Societies Teacher to inspire students in the fields of history, geography, economics, civics, and global studies. The ideal candidate will cultivate inquiry-based learning and critical thinking, while connecting local and global perspectives to real-world contexts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, inquiry-based lessons in accordance with the IB MYP framework.
  • Develop students’ skills in research, analysis, problem-solving, and evidence-based argumentation.
  • Encourage awareness of cultural, social, environmental, and political contexts.
  • Integrate interdisciplinary links and global contexts into I&S teaching.
  • Design formative and summative assessments based on IB criteria.
  • Maintain accurate student records and provide timely feedback and progress reports.
  • Guide students in projects, exhibitions, and experiential learning activities.
  • Participate in student-led conferences, parent-teacher meetings, and school events.
  • Collaborate with colleagues for cross-curricular planning and curriculum development.
  • Ensure differentiation to meet diverse learning needs and inclusion standards.
  • Engage in professional development, including IB workshops and internal PD sessions.
  • Uphold school policies on academic integrity, child protection, and code of conduct.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Sciences, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Certified teacher with at least 2 years of IB MYP teaching experience (preferred).
  • Strong subject knowledge in social sciences (history, geography, economics, civics, or related areas).
  • Ability to integrate technology and innovative teaching methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
